You never know what you’ll uncover when research begins on an historical landmark.
Last October, a co-worker approached me with a request for a painting of the Van Sant bridge, as it is a family name.
We came to terms and the investigation began.
Turns out, not only is this a bridge with her name on it- mine’s there, too!
The Van Sant Covered Bridge, also known as The Beaver Dam Bridge, was built in 1875.
One hundred thirty-eight years later, a Van Sant asked a Beaver for a painting of the Van Sant/Beaver Dam bridge.
